Monstrance reliquary

This reliquary is very comparable to the other monstrance reliquary, although somewhat less refined. It is surmounted with a straight-end cross, whose arms are narrow at the centre but widen out. This is one of the more standardised works produced by the Oignies workshop and contains a relic of Saint George.

A monstrance is a portable reliquary used for exhibiting relics.
