Beaker said to have belonged to Marie d’Oignies

There remain numerous unanswered questions about this work. Tradition has it that it belonged to Marie d’Oignies, but nothing is less certain. It is even doubtful that the work is a liturgical object. On the other hand, there is little doubt about its execution, the reliquary seeming to have been made by Hugo himself. It is worth noting the dragons and griffins on the beaker and on its cover.
