This purse, embroidered with gold thread and with geometric motifs (diamonds and swastikas), contains a wrapped relic labelled « Unknown relic ». Nevertheless, an accompanying strip of parchment/fabric seems to indicate that it is a relic of Saint Andrew. It no doubt comes from an Islamic workshop in Egypt or from the Near or Middle East, at the period when Jacques de Vitry was Bishop of Saint John of Acre.
