Episcopal rings (partim)

The simplicity of these two rings precludes any precise date or provenance being attributed to them, but they would have been bequeathed by Jacques de Vitry. It is possible that one of them was his episcopal ring and, like the mitre and the crosier, was part of the insignia that the bishop received at his consecration.
